Inalfa Roof Systems Holds Grand Opening at SW Cherokee Facility

The Cherokee Office of Economic Development is pleased to announce that Inalfa Roof Systems held their official Grand Opening event on Thursday, October 30th at their Southwest Cherokee Facility located in the Cheorkee 75 Corporate Park. The event was well attend by State and Cherokee community leaders as well as, Inalfa’s international management team.

Jan Tulkens, Group VP & CEO of Inalfa, compared the exciting event to the 1996 Olympic games saying that at that time “the whole world was looking to this region, because a lot of individuals created great team successes” “almost 200 countries contributed to one vision—of excellence” he goes on to say “This kind of engagement and drive is also reflected in the economic scale of this global company. Inalfa North American management team jointly materialized this global spirit and it is our spirit that makes the difference. This spirit which is found here in Atlanta, also a team that is making a change with this spirit.—Using benefits of local professionals and dedicated support from local authority this has been realized.” He closed his remarks with the Olympic motto, Citius – Altius – Fortius meaning “Faster, Higher, Stronger” which he felt exemplified this region and team.

Since opening their 165,000 square foot regional headquarters facility, Inalfa has expanded their operation by another 45,000 square feet. They are one of the largest employers in Cherokee County with over 300 employees. The expansion and original building was completed by Rooker Co. Tom Croteau, Deputy Commissioner, Global Commerce for the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD), read a letter on behalf of Governor Nathan Deal congratulating Inalfa Roof Systems on their growth and successes.

Inalfa Roof Systems is one of the world’s biggest providers of vehicle roof systems. Inalfa designs, develops and manufactures sunroofs and open-roof systems for the automotive industry, such as BMW Group, Chrysler Group, Ford, General Motors, Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo, Hyundai Kia, Honda, Land Rover, Nissan and many others. Inalfa Roof Systems’ global footprint helps to leverage its revenues from customers and its relationships to suppliers. Due to a global presence Inalfa is always in close proximity to its customers’ production lines. “Teamwork, dedication and commitment all went in to this project. We wish them great future successes.” said Buzz Ahrens, Chairman of Cherokee County Board of Commissioners. Ahrens also proclaimed October 30th 2014 Inalfa Roof Systems day in Cherokees County.

Inalfa Roof Systems received the 2013 State of Georgia Deal of the Year award for their location to Cherokee.  Marshall Day, Chairman, Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED) said, “COED has enjoyed working with Inalfa, and are glad they have grown within our community.”
