US: Inalfa Roof Systems opens largest assembly facility in Georgia

November 11, 2014

Inalfa Roof Systems has opened its largest assembly facility in Georgia, US.

The supplier said in 2010 and 2011 as the North American market rebounded, it needed to address growing demand in South-East US.

Planning started for a new facility in 2012. In 2013, the Rooker group worked with Inalfa, Cherokee County representatives and other suppliers to design, build and complete the facility in six months for its scheduled move in November last year.

“As we finished the last wall of the facility, we were already back in the planning mode to add the expansion we are occupying today,” said Inalfa CEO IRS NA, Doug Rizzi.

The operation currently produces roof systems for BMW, Ford and Nissan programmes. In 2015, the company will add GMbusiness and glass encapsulation capabilities.

Inalfa says it expects to increase staffing at the Cherokee facility from 250 to more than 400 by 2016.
