Woodstock Furniture Outlet Expands to Cherokee 75 Corporate Park
Cherokee County, GA (August 16, 2017) – Woodstock Furniture Outlet (WFO), a longtime Cherokee company, has announced an expansion in Cherokee 75 Corporate Park. “We are thankful to everyone with the Cherokee Office of Economic Development and United Community Bank for helping make our much-needed expansion possible. Our new headquarters and distribution facility will allow us to carry more inventory in stock for same day delivery which we feel is a major consideration in today’s marketplace,” stated Brian Aaron of Woodstock Furniture Outlet.
Through the purchase of 15 acres of land, WFO will construct a 133,305 square foot facility which will serve as their headquarters and regional distribution center. WFO has contracted with Arco National Construction and will be breaking ground immediately for the building of their concrete tilt-up structure.
The project will have a capital investment of approximately $10 million. The expansion will result in the creation of 50 new career opportunities and the retention of 178 jobs. “This is another win for Cherokee 75 Corporate Park and the Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED). A lot of work went into ensuring this expansion. It was truly a team effort, and we are thrilled to welcome them to Cherokee 75 Corporate Park,” said Marshall Day, COED Chairman.
Woodstock Furniture Outlet is a true example of a small business success story. In 1988, WFO opened the doors of a 6,000 square foot facility. An explosion of growth in the Woodstock area produced a higher demand for furniture and soon the small operation transitioned into a “Hometown Furniture Superstore.” Providing a great selection, WFO became a place where people could find everything they needed to furnish their home. WFO quickly evolved a substantial cornerstone in the home furnishings business. Today, the family owned business has four locations throughout the region. “All too often you only hear about new businesses coming to town, but it is equally important and exciting to see our local businesses expanding and growing in Cherokee. I was happy to assist Brian and WFO’s efforts in coming to Cherokee 75,” stated District Commissioner Scott Gordon.
Woodstock Furniture Outlet already has ties as a vendor to another industry within the corporate park, Jaipur Living. Both Jaipur Living and the adidas SPEEDFACTORY are scheduled to open this fall. With the addition of WFO, Cherokee 75 Corporate Park will consist of over one million square feet of office and light industrial workspace. Cherokee 75 is currently home to MSK Covertech, Inalfa Roof Systems, thyssenkrupp Materials and Acclaim Lighting.
