Chart Industries to build 66,482 SF Expansion in Airport Commerce Center

On July 1, 2010, Chart Industries, represented by broker Bilijack Bell of Wilson, Hull and Neal, purchased the Development Authority's last remaining lot within Airport Commerce Center. Chart Industries, formerly known as Cryogenic Services and Minnesota Valley Engineering, has been in Cherokee County for over two decades. By choosing to locate in our community, Chart has secured their regional headquarters and manufacturing facilities in one centralized location, making the overall impact exponential.

This new facility, which will be housed on 16.5 acres with a new 66,482 square foot building, should be completed by Rooker in the spring of 2011. This facility will be the first LEED certified manufacturing building in Cherokee County. Within the building Chart will manufacture metal cylinders often used in the biomedical field. The capital footprint of the investment is approximately $6.4 million with $2,000,000 in capital/equipment, $850,000 in land, and $3,550,000 in construction. This expansion will not only provide great opportunities for Chart, but also for Cherokee County.
