Cherokee County always has a number of projects underway to drive success in the region.

Recent Development Projects

  • Canton Marketplace: Retail center operated by The Sembler Company
  • Rope Mill Interchange at I-575: Completed in 2012 and managed by CW Matthews in conjunction with the City of Woodstock and Georgia Department of Transportation.
  • Cherokee County Regional Airport: Recent $34 Million Expansion: Click here for more information.
  • The Cherokee County Aquatic Center: Part of $90MM Recreational Bond, was opened in May 2013.
  • Cherokee County School District: Over 2.5 Million square feet of construction over the last 11 years
  • Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta: Opened Summer of 2013 developed by Horizon Group Properties. A 33,000 sq. ft. expansion will opened late 2015.
  • Cherokee 75 Corporate Park: A 172 acre development zoned for light industrial with all utilities and infrastructure in place. Three tracts still available.
  • Northside Hospital: $286MM hospital campus being developed in Canton opened in May 2017.
  • Majestic Realty constructed two new light industrial buildings (pictured above) totaling 352,000 sq. ft. along the Cherokee 75 Corridor. 69,000 sq. ft. still available.
  • CORE5 is currently constructing a 312,000 sq. ft. light industrial building adjacent to Cherokee 75 Corporate Park.
