Raydeo Continues to Grow
Holly Springs is welcoming an existing Cherokee County business into Rickman Industrial Park.
Raydeo Enterprises, a company that provides design development services, manufacturing of millwork, resin and solid surface processes, awnings and decorative metalwork, announced it is leasing a 14,000-square-foot space in Rickman Industrial Park.
The company has added 30 more employees to their workforce in recent months and added a second location in downtown Canton for their design build project management team and to also be used as a training site.
The space in Holly Springs will be used for Raydeo Enterprises’ metalwork and sign operation, allowing the Ball Ground location to expand those facets of the company.
“We are pleased that Raydeo Enterprises has chosen the Rickman Industrial Park to expand their operations. They will be a great addition to the city,” Holly Springs City Manager Rob Logan said.
Some of the company’s projects include design build services for the Ponce City Market, designing store fronts, kiosks and recreating a box car from the 1930s.
Raydeo Enterprises is also rebranding Taco Mac and was tasked with handling a special project with the Ronald McDonald House to develop a three-story tree house.
“Raydeo is a creative, innovative company that has experienced proven success under John Mercure’s leadership,” said Marshall Day, Cherokee Office of Economic Development Chairman.
The company made Cherokee County its home 12 years ago and continues to grow and expand its level of services. Cherokee County Office of Economic Development President Misti Martin said their office has strived to help businesses expand by conducting existing industry surveys.
“This process enables our office to gauge the needs of existing industries and connect them with resources needed to be successful. As Raydeo’s business grows, their need for a talented workforce grows as well,” Martin said.
“We take feedback from their workforce needs and communicate that information to the school district or technical colleges. We also assist expanding industries in finding additional space.”
Raydeo is also part of the Opportunity Zone and was certified to use the job tax credits in 2013 for new job growth.
“This state incentive enables companies within the zone to receive a $3,500 tax credit per job created, per year for five years. In order to qualify, the company must create two or more jobs,” Martin said.
