James “Skip” Spears

Skip Spears is a life-long resident of Cherokee County, graduate from UGA, and the President of Bagwell & Spears, Inc. for over 35 years. Skip has been married since 1972 to the former Helen Jones of Canton. He is the past Director of Etowah Bank (currently Regions Bank) and the past President of the Cherokee County Historical Club. He also served as President to BP Oil Marketing Association US for three years. Skip has served on the Development Authority Board since January of 1991.
