Every April, the Cherokee Office of Economic Development, Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce, and event sponsor Georgia Power, work together to distribute tokens of appreciation to over 100 local businesses. This event, Operation Thank You, allows board member volunteers from the above mentioned offices to personally thank each company for choosing Cherokee County as their business home and providing the economic viability and job opportunities for Cherokee residents and the region.

“The distribution list is growing, delivering over 5000 tokens of appreciation this year,” said Misti Martin, President of the Cherokee Office of Economic Development. “Our existing industries are very important to us and the entire community, generating approximately 80% of new job growth and new capital investment. This effort is a way to thank the industries and their employees for being in Cherokee.”
