Cherokee Company Named Lockheed Martin Elite Supplier For 2016
HOLLY SPRINGS, GA – Lockheed Martin’s Aeronautics business has designated 27 small and large businesses as top-performing suppliers for 2016, a number the represents the top 2 percent of a supply base of 1,400 suppliers.
Among the winners is Holly Springs-based Nor-Ral, Inc., which provides plastic and composite panel assemblies, fairings, skins, and absorbers in support of C-130 and F-35 programs.
“This award recognizes suppliers holding a 98 percent on-time delivery rating with a 98 percent quality rating,” said Janet Duffey, vice president of Aeronautics Supply Chain Management. “Their role with us makes an impact far beyond performance – it ensures the ability to offer safety and security to customers across the globe. As a leader in engineering, production and sustainment of aircraft, operational excellence and supplier performance are key tenants of our business model.”
Nor-Ral also just wrapped up 12 consecutive months of 100-percent delivery and quality surpassing stringent elite requirements. Nor-Ral was one of only 14 small businesses named to the list.
