COED Launches Downloadable Cherokee By Choice Coloring Book

June 2, 2020

The Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED) has launched a downloadable Cherokee By Choice (CBC) Coloring Book for kids and adults to explore some of Cherokee’s most iconic locations.

The CBC Coloring Book was created as part of the Cherokee By Choice initiative – a public-private partnership and branding campaign focused on fostering economic growth, raising awareness of Cherokee’s exceptional lifestyle, and building community pride.

Designated and illustrated by Woodstock-based Tom Cox Design Studio with contributions from COED Marketing Intern Taryn Cox, the 28-page coloring book features popular locations throughout Cherokee, including the Cherokee Aquatic Center, the Ball Ground Burger Bus, Greenprints Trail System, Gibbs Gardens, The Circuit – Cherokee’s first coworking space, and the Atlanta Yacht Club – among others.

According to numerous studies, coloring has been shown to relieve stress and boost creativity. In addition to helping both residents and visitors unwind, families can use the coloring book as a “day trip” guide to experience some of Cherokee’s most beloved attractions – all while practicing safe social distancing.

“The Cherokee By Choice Coloring Book is the perfect summer staycation activity for both kids and adults,” said COED President Misti Martin. “This family-friendly activity is a great way to show community pride and experience Cherokee in a whole new way.”

Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to reveal their masterpieces on social media using the #cherokeebychoice hashtag.
