Ameritech Industry Services is an Industry leader of General Construction, Renovations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Kitchen Equipment Installations for the Foodservice industry. Specializing in nationwide roll-outs, project management and facility services for large restaurant chains. Ameritech is seeking Field Professionals, a Construction Project Manager, a Facilities Technician/Handyman, Lead Technician, and a Construction Technician. 

Lead Technician 

Title of Job: Lead Technician Status: Non-exempt Reports To: General Manager
Summary of Position: Summary of Position: The Lead Tech will manage and perform duties such as facility improvements in Restaurants and Retail Establishments, remodels, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry and Equipment Installations and manage the crew assisting with completion of the project.
Job Responsibilities: Assist the General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents with managing and completing building or equipment repairs, demolition, removal and/or installation of equipment, and general construction tasks on time and under budget. This will involve:

  • Effective communication with General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents to ensure complete understanding of scope of projects
  • Performing duties with minimal supervision
  • Meetings with customers and store personnel to review projects
  • Leading a crew of techs
  • Reporting crew performance issues to General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents
  • Ensuring self and crew obtain adequate rest to effectively and safely complete assigned projects
  • Conducting surveys to assist with estimating and creation of project scope
  • Sourcing and coordinating sub-contractors as needed
  • Ability to follow scope of project as described by General Manager/Project Manager/ Superintendents
  • Understanding of jobsite protocols specific to project and site
  • Ability to recognize problems outside of scope and effectively communicate to General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents
  • Purchasing and delivering needed materials in a timely fashion
  •  Daily reporting to General Manager/Project Manager/Superintendents
  • Maintaining a clean work environment
  • Ensuring crew reports to work and takes appropriate breaks and lunch periods
  • Maintaining composure when faced with adverse situations and rapidly changing environment

     Access to reliable transportation to reach customer locations
     Dependable and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
     Ability to travel 75-100% of time

Ameritech Facility Services is seeking a full time and experienced jack-of-all-trades technician/handyman. Willing to travel to remodel, renovate and do roll outs for Restaurants and Retail Establishments. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in Electric with a basic understanding of carpentry, flooring, plumbing and other trades. Must be able to pass a background check. Basic Skills in the following Trades:

  •  Minor plumbing connections (sink supply and drain lines)
  • Minor electrical connections (disconnect and reconnect equipment)
  • Roofing Repairs
  • Concrete Repairs
  • Stucco Repairs
  • Fencing
  • Asphalt Repairs
  • Carpet Repairs
  • Tile Repairs

  • Must have the following:
  • Commercial Construction Experience (5+ years), preferably restaurant
  • Ability to travel regionally (50-75%)
  • Clean driving record and personal transportation
  • Tools (drills, saws, hammers, ladders, cords, shop vac, caulking gun, etc). Specialty tools will be rented (concrete saw, jackhammer, etc)
  • Cell phone
  • Good communications skills ability to FAX, SCAN and EMAIL PHOTOS
