Cherokee Recreation and Parks is seeking to fill the following roles:

Part-time Scorekeeper | Pay $8.25 - $10.00

This job is responsible professional work involving the scorekeeping the activities occurring at any Cherokee Recreation and Parks (CRPA) or affiliated facility. This includes but will not be limited to setting up equipment, clean up of facilities and opening and closing. Other responsibilities will include record keeping, game reports, accident reports, as well as enforcing the school rules and policies regarding the use of the gym and those rules set forth by Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) and Cherokee County School District (CCSD). Scorekeepers are required to provide a high level of customer service for our patrons and staff.

Qualifications Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma
Any equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure-using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Communication and Reasoning Abilities:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write short correspondence. Ability to deal with a variety of problems in standardized situations. Ability to explain established policies and/or procedures to employees. Ability to provide oral and written instructions to employees. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Agency employees, volunteers, and the general public.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow established departmental policies and procedures. Skill in problem solving and time management.

The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter low to moderate noise. Depending on the program, the employee will work at different facilities.

Comments:
Must be available for work on evening and weekend.

Part-time Supervisor | $10.00 - $11.50

This job is responsible professional work involving the supervision the activities occurring at any Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) or affiliated facility. This includes but will not be limited to setting up equipment, clean up of facilities and opening and closing. Other responsibilities will include record keeping, game reports, accident reports, as well as enforcing the league rules, facility guidelines and policies regarding the use of the facility and those rules set forth by Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) and any affiliated facility. Part-time Supervisors are required to provide a high level of customer service for our patrons and staff.

Responsibilities:

Serves as direct supervisor to assigned facility, officials, and scorekeepers.
